Current research area:

  • Cationic ring-opening polymerization; kinetics, mechanism and synthetic applications. Activated monomer mechanism in cationic ring-opening polymerization of cyclic ethers. Highly branched polyethers by cationic polymerization of cyclic ethers containing hydroxyl groups.
  • Synthesis of block copolymers by Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization (ATRP). Application of MALDI TOF mass spectrometry for studying irreversible termination in ATRP.
  • Synthesis of double hydrophilic graft copolymers by ionic polymerization.
  • Polymerization processes in ionic liquids.
