Announcement on the competition for a post-doctoral scientist position in the Polish-Chinese project of the National Science Center SHENG 4 (No. DEC-2025/56/Q/ST11/00551) – „Synthesis and Functionalization of Hyperbranched Polypeptides for Osteoarthritis Treatment”
Requirements:
– PhD in chemistry;
– Documented scientific achievements in the field of organic chemistry (publications in Philadelphia List journals and patents);
– Very good knowledge of organic chemistry;
– Skills and experience in conducting organic compound syntheses, experience in conducting polymer or polypeptide modifications is welcome;
– Knowledge of spectroscopic methods and their application to the identification of organic compounds;
– Ability to independently plan, perform experiments, and conduct a full analysis of results and their presentation;
– Ability to work in research teams, including at a foreign center;
– Fluent spoken and written English enabling independent preparation of scientific publications.
The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for:
– Conducting chemical modification of polymers and their physicochemical characterization;
– Optimizing conditions for chemical modification of polymers;
– Supervising doctoral students;
– Collaborating with other members of the research team, including the Chinese team;
– Reporting research results;
– Preparing scientific publications/patent applications.
