Erasmus

Erasmus is a program for universities, institutes, their students, doctoral students and staff. Supports international cooperation in higher education, student mobility /doctoral student mobility for part of the study and student placements, promotes the university staff mobility, provides universities / institutes numerous opportunities to participate in projects with foreign partners.

Poland participates in the Erasmus program since 1998/99. In the years 1995-2006 it was the part of Socrates program, and from the academic year 2007/2008 is the part of the program “Learning for life ‘(LLP – The Lifelong Learning Programme), whose main aim is to improve the quality and attractiveness of education and facilitating international cooperation and exchanges in education.

The Erasmus programmme is open to:

  • the 27 EU Member States
  • Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway (the members of the European Free Trade Association and also belong to the European Economic Area)
  • Turkey

Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies (CMMS) received the Erasmus Extended University Charter in 2009. It  facilitates the organization of PhD student and staff  mobility  and  PhD  student placements.
