“Bigels with controlled release of hydrophilic and hydrophobic therapeutic compounds as potential dressings in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers”

Position: PhD student 

Project description:

Research conducted as part of a Project:

“Bigels with controlled release of hydrophilic and hydrophobic therapeutic compounds as potential dressings in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers”, OPUS 25

consisting of:

1. Synthesis and characterization of comonomers, homo- and copolymers;
2. Structural modification of polymers;
3. Formation of cross-linked biomaterials;
4. Detailed characteristics of obtained materials;
5. Cooperation with the biomedical environment;
6. Participation in national/international scientific conferences.

Requirements:

1. Master of Science degree in chemistry or related sciences received in the last 5 years;
2. Experience in organic chemistry; knowledge of polymer chemistry
   will be preferred;
3. Knowledge of analytical techniques, such as NMR, UV, and IR;
4. Very good written and spoken English;
5. Willingness to cooperate in an interdisciplinary environment;
6. Commitment to conducting scientific research.

• To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be doctoral students or have been admitted to the BioMedChem doctoral program.
