AN ASSISTANT POSITION in Division of Bioorganic Chemistry
Director of the Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences in Lodz, opens the ASSISTANT SCIENTIST POSSITION in the Division of Bioorganic Chemistry.
The position is related to the research on the role of cancer-derived exosomes in immunosupression.
1. The research in which a candidate will be involved:
maintaining cell cultures,
studies of extracellular vesicles – exosomes (isolation, characteristics, electroporation),
biochemical studies on proteins (Western blot, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, staining of proteins in the gel)
biochemical studies of extracellular vesicles using a fluorescent plate reader and a flow cytometer,
statistical analysis of the obtained results,
preparation of reports and scientific publications.
2. Required qualifications and criteria to be met by a candidate:
Ph Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related disciplines,
Documented scientific background related to above mentioned fields, including at least two papers in peer reviewed journals,
Experience in extracellular vesicles (exosomes) studies/field;
Ability to work independently in the field of cell culture
Experimental experience in the techniques related to the listed above,
Documented participation in national and international conferences devoted to topics specified in paragraph above,
Documented ability to plan and conduct research on their own, and to effectively prepare research projects,
Fluent English in speech and writing,
Ability to work in a team and strong motivation for research work.
