ADJUNCT in Polymeric Nanomaterials Division

DIRECTOR OF THE CENTRE OF MOLECULAR AND MACROMOLECULAR STUDIES, POLISH ACADEMY OF SCIENCES, ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION FOR THE ADJUNCT POSITION IN POLYMERIC NANOMATERIALS DIVISION.

Keywords: polymer materials, polymer nanomaterials, structure, properties.

Position connected with research in the field of physico-chemistry of polymer materials.

1. Scientific research and other projects in which the candidate will participate:

• research in the field of physico-chemistry of polymer materials, including studies of phenomena occurring in these materials, their structure and properties, as well as modification;
• co-supervising of PhD theses;
• preparation of research grant applications;
• writing reports and scientific publications;

2. Qualifications the ideal candidate should possess:

• PhD degree or habilitation in chemistry, physics, technical or related sciences;
• documented scientific achievements in the field of physico-chemistry of polymer materials, including studies of phenomena occurring in these materials, their structure and properties, as well as modification (publications in journals with Impact Factor and patents);
• long-term postdoctoral fellowship or grant success;
• ability to carry out experiments independently and to analyze the results;
• ability to work in research teams;
• proficiency in spoken and written English;
• speaking and writing in Polish language is appreciated;

3. Required Documents:

• application and motivation letter;
• description of planned research (up to two A4 pages) in the Polymeric Nanomaterials Division;
• CV/academic biography;
• description of previous research work and achievements;
• list of publications and other achievements;
• copy of PhD diploma or habilitation diploma
• two recommendations from professors or associate professors.

5. The recruitment will be decided until 18.11.2024 r.
6. During the competition procedure, candidates may be asked to present their achievements and research plans CMMS PAS.
7. The selected candidate will be employed in accordance with the provisions of the Polish Labour Law for an indefinite period or definite term.
