POST-DOC position in an NCN OPUS16 Project

Announcement on the post-doc position in an NCN OPUS16 Project (UMO-2018/31/B/ST8/01969) “Application of weak covalent bonds for the preparation of reversible polymer networks and lactide copolymers”

Requirements:

– PhD degree in chemistry
– Documented scientific achievements in the field of polymer science (publications in journals with Impact Factor and patents), especially polymer syntheses including synthesis of polymer networks
– Ability to carry out experiments independently, including non-standard experiments, and to analyze results
– Skill and experience in analysis of structure and properties of polymers
– Ability to work in research team
– Fluent English in speaking and writing

Task description:

– Preparation of reagents, initiators and comonomers for the syntheses of lactide-based copolymers
– Preparation of polymer networks based on lactide
– Analysis of structure, thermal and mechanical properties of the prepared networks; study of their degradation
– Preparation of reports, scientific publications and presentations foe scientific conferences

The conditions of employment:

The selected candidate will be employed in accordance with the provisions of the Polish Labor Law in CMMS (medical care, insurance).
Gross salary: PLN 10,000 /month. Employment for one year with a possibility of extension for next one year.
