POSITION CONNECTED WITH RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF SYNTHESIS AND FUNCTIONALIZATION OF BIODEGRADABLE (CO)POLYMERS  OF VARIED TOPOLOGY

1. The main objectives of the research will include:

• Synthesis of biodegradable block copolymers able to undergo spontaneous reorganization due to intermolecular interactions (e.g. end-group interactions or stereocomplexation).
• Synthesis and modification of biodegradable (co)polymers for the preparation of composite materials (e.g. with hydroxyapatite or montmorillonite).
• Preparation of nanomaterials and polymeric nano- and microparticles, by physical and chemical methods, study of their properties and development of their biomedical applications.
• Preparation of applications for research funding.
• Preparation of reports and scientific publications.

2. Conditions required from the candidate:

• At least MSc degree in Chemistry or related disciplines and at least 4 years of professional experience in polymer synthesis and characterization.
• Postgraduate Studies: Scientific project management and commercialisation of the results.
• Documented scientific achievements in the field of polymer science (publications in journals with Impact Factor and patents) with particular emphasis on scientific achievements in the field of block copolymers synthesis.
• Ability to perform independently experiments including non-standard ones and to carry out full analysis of results.
• Ability to prepare research proposals and to work in research teams.
• Fluent English in speaking and writing.
• Speaking and writing in Polish language is appreciated.

7. The selected candidate will be employed in accordance with the provisions of the Polish Labour Law for unlimited or limited time.
