Announcement on the PhD STUDENT scholarship in the NCN OPUS-25 project (No. 2023/49/B/ST4/03288)– „Theoretical prediction, chemical synthesis and biological analysis of a novel class of HSPA5 inhibitors”
Position: PhD student
Requirements:
– Completed Master’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology or a related field within the last 5 years or declaration of completion of Master’s degree this year;
– knowledge of English enabling the use of English literature;
– experience in laboratory work (e.g. internship, professional practice or other);
– motivation for scientific work;
– ability to work under sterile conditions;
– experience in working with cell cultures;
– experience in studying the biological activity of nano-objects will be an additional asset.
Task description:
– biological analysis of potential HSPA5 protein inhibitors;
– study of ligand interactions with the protein;
– study of the effect of compounds on signaling pathways in normal and cancer cells;
– participation in the editing and preparation of scientific publications;
– presentation of research results at national and international conferences;

The location of project: Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Division of Bioorganic Chemistry
NCN scholarship payable for a maximum of 48 months

The condition for being awarded the scholarship will be the status of a PhD student or qualification for the BioMedChem doctoral school.
The deadline for competition: continuous recruitment until 23.04.2025
