A COMPETITION FOR AN ASSISTANT POSITION in Polymer Division

THE POSITION CONNECTED WITH RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF MODIFICATION Of POLYMER FIBROUS MATERIALS

1. 1. Scientific research and other works, which a candidate will participate in:

• Studies on modification, structure and physicochemical properties of polymer fibrous materials, including biodegradable materials
• Obtaining of polymer fibrous materials by electrospinning
• Modification of polymer fibrous materials by physical and chemical methods, taking advantage of nanoparticles, and using impregnation with supercritical carbon dioxide
• Analysis of polymer materials, especially fibrous materials, their structure and properties with different experimental techniques (DMTA, DSC, TGA, PLM, SEM, EDS, FTIR, UV-vis spectroscopy, measurements of mechanical and electrical properties, measurements of contact angles with liquids)

2. Terms and conditions to be met by a candidate:

• Holding at least a Master Degree in Physics, Chemistry or related
• Documented scientific background in the above mentioned fields, including at least two papers in the journals from Philadelphia List
• Significant experience in conducting the investigations listed in the first paragraph
• Skills in experimental techniques listed in the first paragraph
• Participation in international conferences
• A good knowledge of English allowing for unconstraint use of scientific literature

• At least two letters of recommendation provided by senior academic staff members

4. The documents should be sent to the CMMS PAS, Scientific Secretariat, Sienkiewicza 112, 90-363 Lodz with the note „Competition for a post of research assistant– PPD”. Closing date for offers is 30.06.2019.
5. Decision on the competition will take place not later than 05.07.2019 r.
6. During the recruitment process the selected candidates may be invited for an interview.
7. The selected candidate shall be employed according to the regulations of Labor Law for an unspecified period of time or within a fixed contract.
8. CMMS PAS do not provide residential premises.
