Competition for the position adjunct in the Department of Polymeric Nano-Materials.

Director of Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies Polish Academy of Sciences in Lodz announces competition for the position of adjunct in the Department of Polymeric Nano-Materials.

Position connected with research in the field of organosilicon materials

1. The main objectives of the research will include:

• Research in the field of polymeric organosilicon materials containing siloxane groups, forming nano- and micro-structures linear, branched or crosslinked, and studies of their structure and properties, as well as modification of surfaces of obtained materials.
• Co-supervising of PhD theses.
• Preparation of research grant applications.
• Writing reports and scientific publications.

2. Conditions required from the candidate:

• PhD degree or habilitation in chemistry, physics, technical or related sciences.
• Documented scientific achievements in the field of organosilicon chemistry, especially concerning the areas mentioned above in point 1 (publications in journals with Impact Factor and patents).
• Ability to carry out experiments independently and to analyze their results.
• Experience in preparation of research grant applications.
• Ability to work in research teams.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Speaking and writing in Polish language is appreciated.

• List of publications and other achievements.
• Copy of PhD diploma or habilitation diploma.
• Two recommendations from professors or associate professors.

6. During the competition procedure, candidates may be asked to present their achievements in the form of a seminar at CMMS PAS.
7. The selected candidate will be employed in accordance with the provisions of the Polish Labour Law for an indefinite period or definite term.
8. We reserve the right to cancel the competition without giving a reason.
