Competition for the position of professor-2 of the Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies in the Department of Polymeric Nano-Materials

Director of Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies Polish Academy of Sciences in Lodz announces competition for the position of professor-2 of the Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies in the Department of Polymeric Nano-Materials.

The position is connected with research in the field of physico-chemistry of polymer materials, with emphasis on phenomena occurring in these materials, their structure and properties, in particular fibrous materials, including nano-composites, and their modifications.

1. The main objectives of the research will include:

• Research in the field of physico-chemistry of polymer materials, with emphasis on phenomena occurring in these materials, their structure and properties, in particular fibrous materials, including nano-composites, and their modifications.
• Development of current and exploring new fields of research.
• Leading a research team working in the field specified above.
• Development of the methodology and training of scientific personnel.
• Supervision of doctoral theses.
• Acquiring funds for research and new research equipment.

2. Conditions required from the candidate:

• PhD degree and habilitation in chemistry, physics, technical or related sciences.
• Documented scientific achievements in the field of physico-chemistry of polymer materials,, preferably concerning the areas mentioned above in point 1 (publications in journals from Philadelphia List with high Impact Factor, and patents).
• Experience in leading a research team and supervision of doctoral or diploma theses.
• Documented experience in acquiring funds for research, grant applications and leadership of research projects.

5. Result will be announced before 02.01.2023 r.
6. During the competition procedure, candidates may be asked to present their achievements in the form of a seminar at CMMS PAS.
7. The selected candidate will be employed in accordance with the provisions of the Polish Labour Law for an indefinite or definite period.
