Job offer at the Department of Bioorganic Chemistry

The Department of Bioorganic Chemistry at CMMS PAS in Lodz is looking for candidates for research work in biochemistry, enzymology and cell biology.

Requirements:

1. Master’s degree in biochemistry/biology or related sciences (preferably within the last three years).
2. Demonstrated ability to perform  research and teamwork in topics relevant to the above field (e.g. master thesis involving experiments in the laboratory).
3. Proficiency in spoken and written English (knowledge of Polish language is not required).

Conditions of Employment: The person qualified in the competition will be employed in the Department of Bioorganic Chemistry at CMMS PAS in Lodz as a Biochemist (MSc). In case of receiving funding by the National Science Centre, the person will participate in the implementation of a project on the above mentioned materials (with appropriate salary).

Main Duties:

1. Cloning, expression in bacterial systems and purification of recombinant proteins.
2. Performing and analysing enzymatic reactions.
3. The mamagement of cell cultures from human lines.
4. Writing reports and publications.

Additional Information: Opportunity for further education at the BioMedChem PhD School, co-established by CBMiM PAN (salary: PhD School stipend or NCN stipend).
