PROFESSOR-1 of CMMS PAS POSITION in Functional Polymers and Polymer Materials Division

DIRECTOR OF THE CENTRE OF MOLECULAR AND MACROMOLECULAR STUDIES, POLISH ACADEMY OF SCIENCES, ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION FOR THE POSITION OF PROFESSOR OF THE CENTRE OF MOLECULAR AND MACROMOLECULAR STUDIES PAS in FUNCTIONAL POLYMERS AND POLYMER MATERIALS DIVISION.

The position is connected with research in the field of design, synthesis, and characteristics of dynamically cross-linked polymer materials able to sustained delivery of biologically active substances with an emphasis on the synthesis of chemo- and thermoresponsive gels and characteristics of their structural and rheological properties

1. The main objectives of the research will include:

• Research in the field of design, synthesis, and characteristics of dynamically cross-linked polymer materials able to sustained delivery of biologically active substances with an emphasis on the synthesis of chemo- and thermoresponsive gels and characteristics of their structural and rheological properties.
• Development of current and exploring new fields of research.
• Leading a research team working in the field specified above.
• Development of the methodology and training of scientific personnel.
• Supervision of doctoral theses.
• Acquiring funds for research and new research equipment.

2. Conditions required from the candidate:

• PhD degree and habilitation in chemistry, physics, technical or related sciences.
• Documented scientific achievements (publications in periodicals from Philadelphia List, with high IF) in polymer physics or chemistry, preferably in the field related to the specified in paragraph 1.
• Experience in leading a research team and supervision of doctoral or diploma theses.
• Documented experience in acquiring funds for research, grant applications and leadership of research projects.

3. Required documents. Qualified researchers interested in applying for the position should submit the following documents:

• Two recommendations from professors or associate professors

5. The recruitment will be decided before 10.01.2023.
6. During the competition procedure candidates may be asked to present their results obtained so far in the form of a seminar at CMMS PAS.
7. The selected candidate will be employed in accordance with the provisions of the Polish Labour Law for an indefinite or definite period.
