Scientific career:

  • 2008 – MSc (Polymer Chemistry and Physics) –Technical University of Lodz
  • 2014 – PhD (Chemistry) – CMMS PAS
  • 2015–2017 – Post-doc, Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers (Free University in Berlin)
  • 2017 – onwards – assistant professor, Polish Academy of Sciences, Lodz, Poland, Polymer Division at CMMS PAS

Current research area:

Marek Brzeziński obtained a Ph.D. degree in 2014 at the Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies in Lodz, investigating novel properties of PLA-based materials. He was a Humboldt fellow at Freie Universität Berlin and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin for Materials and Energy, working on a project involving the use of microfluidics to design the supramolecular capsules for drug delivery. He is now an assistant professor at Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies in Lodz and his current research interests include functional polymer design and micro- and nano-particles for biomedical applications. (National Science Centre grant no. DEC-2016/23/D/ST5/02458).

  • Supramolecular polymers
  • Micro- and nano-particles
  • Drug delivery systems
