    Organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms and new reagents containing heteroatoms (P, S, N, Si) including chemistry of heteroatom containing reactive intermediates (carbanions, carbenes and radicals),
    Total syntheses of biomolecules utilizing heteroatom reagents (cyclopentanoids, alkaloids, lignanoids, etc.),
    Synthesis of heteronium salts including ionic liquids for practical applications including investigations of their ecophytotoxic, herbicidal and cytotoxic activity.
